  1. We have many here in Sweden too. They became extinct in the late 1800s, but was bred for food’s sake. Since escaped some, now there is certainly 100,000 here.

      I have read an article about wild boars in Europe nowadays – the population is fast growing in these years and will be growing in the future because of global warming. While wintertime is becoming calm and warm they can get much more food than before :-)
      I even like boars!

  2. Today can´t they hold the population down. In the 1800s exterminated wild boars in Sweden, but it was for using poison, forbidden today after all.
